Founder and Wealth Manager

David knew he had a passion for the financial industry and client service early in life. It drove him to concentrate on economics and business at Kalamazoo College, focus in the industry when starting his professional career, and obtain his Certified Financial Planner® certification.

He began his career as a banker with J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in Michigan and relocated to Arizona with the firm in 2008.

When he obtained his CFP® certification in 2012, it opened the door for David to collaborate with high-net-worth individuals and families to offer customized financial planning services. Financial planning was a primary responsibility for David during his tenure at Merrill Lynch, and he specialized in portfolio management while at Bank of America Private Bank.

David’s broad background in the financial services industry allows him to interlace financial planning, portfolio management, banking, and business retirement services in a way that can benefit clients with varied financial needs and circumstances. From guiding high-net-worth families through legacy planning to aiding business owners with exit strategies, David’s attention to detail and care for clients shines through in every interaction.

David views himself as the quarterback of his clients’ Personal Advisory Team, which he believes at a minimum should include: a wealth manager/advisor, an accountant, and a trust and estate planning attorney. Acting as a fiduciary, and in coordination with other members of your Advisory Team, David’s clients receive a holistic financial plan that can adapt to their needs over time.

David’s thirst for knowledge has been evident throughout his professional career, and it carries into his personal life as well. He has renovated multiple homes and enjoys expanding his handyman skills.

On weekends, you can usually find him working on home projects or hiking with his wife Annie and their four dogs: Apollo, Logan, Jax, and Clyde.
His favorite spot to hike is the Grand Canyon, where Ribbon Falls – the inspiration behind the firm’s name – is located.

Having grown up in the Midwest, David is a fan of all Michigan sports teams, through the good times and bad. He has called Arizona home since 2008, but on occasion you can still hear his Michigan accent.

He also enjoys volunteering for Junior Achievement of Arizona, which allows him to share with young people knowledge about financial topics.
